What is the PMI-RMP®?

 

PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP®) is a new credential offered by PMI in response to the growing need of project risk management professional. In 2008 research commissioned by PMI and conducted by Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), projected risk identification and mitigation identified as key to company performance over the next five years.   The PMI-RMP® credential recognizes those who perform the role of a project risk practitioner.

 

What does the Canadian West Coast Chapter’s PMI-RMP® Exam Prep Course offer?

 

The objective of the PMI-RMP® exam prep course (pilot) is to prepare participants for the professional examination administered by PMI examination board.  The course offers an overview of the foundation of risk management in project management context.  The course is conducted in a combination of concept review, exam practice, group discussion and case studies.  Participants will obtain practical insight on the application of risk management techniques through case studies and instructor-led sessions.

Who Should Attend?

 

The course is open to any CWCC PMI member who is prepared to take the PMI-RMP® designation.  We highly recommend the participants to be PMP or CAPM certified in combination  with a significant level of risk management involvement in their project management function at work. Course Dates:

The 30 Contact Hours (optional 10 hours additional online training available) requirement will be covered over 5 Saturday sessions from 9:00am to 5:00pm as below.

We provide a textbook, a binder containing the lecture slides and additional materials including a full exam simulation with 170 questions.

 

Course Fee:

A special discounted introductory price for this pilot course is $951 plus 5% GST.  Course participants can have the option of acquiring additional online training material (approximate cost of $60).
